Coordination of the research area on modeling of rechargeable batteries and other electrochemical energy devices, organization and animation of the LRCS internal Modeling Thematic Meetings.
The collaborative group "GRAINS" (GRoupe de travail Amiénois en INteraction des Sciences) has been recently created within the Université de Picardie Jules Verne. This group, animated by Prof. Jean-Paul Chehab (Laboratoire Amiénois de Mathematiques Fondamentales et Appliquées -LAMFA-, Amiens), Prof. Youcef Mammeri (LAMFA, Amiens) and Prof. Alejandro A. Franco (LRCS, Amiens), provides a space for multidisciplinary exchanges among the sciences, from biology to mathematics, passing through robotics, physics and chemistry. GRAINS aims triggering proposals of collaborative actions and projects across the disciplines.
GRAINS follows two complementary approaches. First the group meet one time per month and invites a scientist involved in multidisciplinary research to perform a lecture. Furthermore, the group organizes three "Grand Public Conferences" per year delivered at the Université de Picardie Jules Verne by top-most scientists and professors from France and all around the World. The "Grand Public Conferences" scope get inspiration from the TED Conferences. The first three "Grand Public Conferences" have been delivered by Dr. Philippe Sautet (ENS de Lyon, France, Member of the French Academy of Sciences), Dr. Marco Cecchini (Université de Strasbourg, France, collaborator of Prof. Martin Karplus, Nobel Prize of Chemistry 2013) and Prof. Michel Davier (Université de Paris-Sud, France, Member of the French Academy of Sciences). Their conferences took place in 2014 on April 10, April 15 and May 7 respectively.
More information about the collaborative group GRAINS is available here.
Team management, internal seminars organization, students and postdocs advice, project proposals, follow up of publications and patents, scientific and technological knowledge watch and definition of the modeling roadmaps.
Responsible person of the Transversal Working Groups on "Nano-catalysis" and "Modeling of Electrochemical Systems". Involved in the Working Group on "Multiscale modeling".
