Multiscale Modeling of Electrochemical Energy Conversion and Storage

Microscale modeling

At the miscroscale level, the following modeling techniques are used:


- microstructurally-resolved continuum modeling of charge and reactants transport (e.g. for the study of the carbon structural properties impact on the batteries or PEM Fuel Cell electrodes electrochemical response);

- phase field modeling of phases formation and evolution durinng discharge-charge of intercalation and conversion reactions for lithium ion and lithium air batteries.
